Registered Manager

The Registered Manager is accountable for delivering high quality care to the children and
young people within the home. This means that they are responsible for delivery of all care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home, and all day to day management matters. They will demonstrate the ability to build on the well established principles and practice standards existing within One to One and proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of childcare standards across the company.
The Registered Manager is responsible for delivering childcare that is focussed on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home. Consequently, they are
expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves being personally available, as well as the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focussed training, and accessing of appropriate services to
support the childcare practices within the home.
As this is a vital role in the lives of children and young people cared for at One to One it requires an active and long term commitment. The Senior Management work closely with
each Registered Manager, assisting them to provide high quality care. The Registered Manager is wholly responsible for ensuring an appropriate staff presence to meet the childcare needs of the children and young people in the home.

Deputy Manager

To actively promote the rights of young people as individuals and provide them with quality care in accordance with the company policies and procedures. To assist in the provision of a safe and homely environment both individually and as part of a team to help young people achieve their potential by strengthening areasof weakness and developing areas of strength.

The aim and objective of this role is To maintain a safe environment for young people that allows each one to build trusting relationships, and develop their self-esteem.

To encourage and motivate young people to develop outside interests and leisure activities and
enable the young person to participate in the life of the local community, through developing and maintaining links between the home and the community.
To organise and take part in activities inside and outside the house as appropriate.
To attend supervision meetings with the Registered Manager for 90 minutes a month and attend annual appraisals.
To work a flexible rota to take account of the varying demands made upon the different homes; these arrangements may be subject to change at short notice.

Residential Support Worker

The aim and objective of this role is to maintain a safe environment for young people that allows each one to build trusting relationships, and develop their self-esteem.

Assist in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people, appropriate to
their age, understanding and identified needs.
To ensure the welfare of young people is promoted, that they are protected from abuse and that an
appropriate response is made to any allegation or suspicion of abuse or bullying.
To develop appropriate working relationships young person based on respect and mutual trust.
To promote indepednace and enable the young person to maintain existing skills and leant new skills
Offer stratergies for development of social skills and help resolve conflict as necessary
Maintain professional Boundaries in and outside of the work environment
To act as role model at all times through appropriate behaviour, dress, use of language and social
interaction.
Provide Support with all aspects of their daily lives and encourage them to engage with positive activities.
